"WE LOVE OUR FRENCHIES"
Please take your time and read this. We started off years ago raising English bulldogs and Miniature Bullterriers. We bought a Frenchie and fell absolutely in love! So we instantly decided to sell off all of the Miniature Bullterriers and English bulldogs to specialize in only French bulldogs. We now only raise French bulldogs. This page will help explain who we are and how we treat our dogs. We are very proud of our kennel and our dogs. We are not a puppy mill or a puppy importer. Most of the mills and importers will not show you pictures of the parents, pictures of their kennel, or give you any references. After you read this if you have any questions please email us or give us a call. We'd love to hear from you.
1. The Kennel. We are a small-time hobby kennel. All we raise are French Bulldogs. We specialize in the short stocky little guys. We have five beautiful male frenchies. We do things a little differently than most kennels. We treat our dogs like royalty! We spare no expense in giving our dogs the best quality of life. They live in a climate controlled heated and air conditioned kennel that is fully insulated. We have air purifiers for better air quality and hot water for those cold winter days. We have cameras throughout the kennel so we can keep an eye on the dogs all the time. All of our dogs eat nothing but the best food available. The adults eat Iams adult dog food. The puppies all eat Iams small breed puppy food. We let our dogs play in their 150' X 150' playground which contains a kiddy pool in the summer. They each have their own little play buddy they play with - they love playtime! Our kennel is meticulously maintained and bleached down weekly to keep their living environment as sterile and clean as possible. You'll notice that we are one of the few kennels that will actually show you pictures of our kennel inside and out. Look at the inside picture and you'll notice how neat and clean the kennel is, vinyl flooring, (no wood or dirt floors), ceiling fans, plenty of lighting, sink, refrigerator, heat/AC unit, great living environment. We don't allow visitor's to our kennel anymore but have references that have been out and met our girls and can let you know we are just what we claim to be. Quality!
2. Our Dogs. We keep the best quality Frenchies available. You'll notice that we always post pictures of the sire and dam along with the puppy pictures. This is done so you'll see what kind of breeding stock the puppies came from. Most breeders won't post the adult pictures because they are worried you'll see what the puppies will turn out like. Many websites even use props like jewels and boas to make the puppy pictures cuter to potential buyers. We just like to have the kids and the puppies! We keep our stud dogs pictures posted at all times. As you'll notice we are very proud of our stud dogs. We post three pictures of each of them all at different angles. All of our dogs are full AKC and APRI. All of our males have been DNA tested with AKC, and have a 5 generation pedigree. Our stud dog Buddy has an incredible background. There is a difference between AKC and FCI dogs. Just look at the FCI ads (most import dogs are FCI), their legs, necks, and bodies are so long they almost look like Boston Terriers. I've seen some of the imports weighing over 30 lbs. Please visit www.thewrongpuppy.org before buying an cheap import puppy. This website is very graphic and will tell you all about importers and their puppies. Remember that all puppies look cute and adorable the first 8 weeks. You want to see some idea of what they will look like as adults. Make sure you know what you are buying. Our females are only bred once a year. All our puppies are born by C-section. This is because the Dam is too short and cobby to allow pups to pass through naturally. If you buy a pup born naturally keep in mind the Dam is going to be a bit on the larger size with longer legs and body - this is the only way they can be born naturally.
3. Our Puppies. All of our dogs are bred on our farm. This means we don't import any puppies to resell. We don't buy puppies from other kennels to resell. All of our puppies are really our puppies. We hand raise every puppy we have. What do we mean by this? When our puppies are born they are sent straight to the puppy sitter's house. Jamie is more of a puppy nanny than a puppy sitter. She takes the mother and the puppies right into her home and hand raises them. She lets the mother feed them every three hours during the night. During the day the puppies stay with their mother. All the puppies are weighed every other day & kept nice and clean. At 6 weeks of age we get the puppies from Jamie and introduce the puppies to a puppy pad and get started with housetraining. Our girls play a large part in helping us socialize our puppies. They are played with a great deal and it shows! Raising puppies in this fashion cost us a lot more money and very few kennels that we know of actually do all of these extras. We feel they get the love & care they deserve. Using this method insures that every puppy is fully socialized with other dogs, puppies and of course people. There's nothing worse than buying a puppy that has been raised in a kennel away from people. They are afraid of people and shaking with fear. All of our puppies are sold with full AKC registration, one year life threatening genetics guarantee, first series of shots, vet checked, and with lots of love.
4. The Scams. I've been seeing lots of pictures on the internet of Buddy and Styles listed for sale. I would never sell our stud dogs Buddy or Styles. A lot of people are copying Buddy or Styles pictures onto their computer and advertising them as their own dogs. They are hoping you'll send them your money in the hopes of a puppy. They actual don't have anything to sell except some stolen pictures and empty promises. Please make sure you know where you're buying your puppy from. You should be able to reach them by email and more importantly by phone. Make sure they have a website, make sure they take credit cards, and make sure they have tons of references. You can call us by phone or e-mail 24 hours a day (please call between 9am - 9pm EST). We give you our daytime business phone number 9-5pm M-F 859-986-9021. This business and phone number have been established for over 12 years. Plus we give you our two personal cell phone numbers: Kay's for puppies 859-582-3315 or Gary's for the adults 859-582-1357. We offer you a website that is updated weekly. We can give you a ton of references. Including the AKC at 1-919-233-9767. We had our last inspection on 11-02-2007. We passed with flying colors. You can call AKC to verify this. You can also call AKC to check the status of any kennel associated with AKC. They will be happy to help you out. We do take credit cards for deposits for the $500.00 deposit. We can take Paypal for the full payment but you'll need to add 3% for any amount other than the deposit. We think you'll agree after reading about us that our puppies are worth a little more. We want you to buy the best and get what you're paying for. Give us a call if you have any additional questions.
5. Protect Your Pet. We've been hearing a lot in the news lately about people stealing Frenchies. We have all of our adult Frenchies micro chipped. With this news outbreak we want everyone to know that we think that micro chipping your pet is a good investment to help in recovery if your pet is lost or stolen. We've decided to offer micro chipping services before we send your puppy off to you. If you are interest in this please just let us know!
6. Looking For Something Special? We do offer a $500.00 paid waiting list. We take checks or credit cards for the deposit. You just let us know the sex and color that you are looking for. You may also pick the stud dog you want a puppy from. The five hundred dollars comes off of the price of the puppy of your choice but is nonrefundable. Once payment has been received we'll email you a confirmation and a welcome letter. We will then notify you first if we have a puppy that matches what you are looking for. If you'd like we can email you a copy of our welcome letter to answer any questions you might have before putting down your deposit. This is a very simple process and depending on the time of year we may have 5-25 names on the waiting list. These customers always have first choice when a puppy meets their specifications. We always do our best to match the puppy to the confirmation & personality that you are looking for as well. Because of the nature of the waiting list we can't tell you for sure when we'll have the puppy you are looking for. We may try and give you an estimated timeline but that is the best we can do since you can never tell for sure what might be born.
7. Hand Delivery Service: If the weather is too hot to ship your puppy to you or you just don’t want your little one flying in cargo and you can’t come in and pick him/her up yourself Kay will personally hand deliver your puppy to you! This is a “special service” that we do for our customers and Kay enjoys getting to meet you personally. Just contact her for more information on this service.
Thank you for your interest in our kennel.
